It’s obvious when we say that Diwali is the most auspicious as well as the most
celebrated festival in our country. Having said that, even though it is celebrated all
across, not all of us get to celebrate this festival in the ways we want to. For some,
the mere meaning of Diwali is a proper meal after days or getting good clothes or blankets. Yes, it’s the bitter reality of society. With this brutal distribution of wealth, on one side of the road lie people enjoying all the luxuries of life, whereas on the other side lie people who have to fight even for a single meal.
In such scenarios, just imagine the amount of happiness they would experience after receiving unexpected gifts on by people, who intend to celebrate it with them. This Diwali, Nanhe Pakshi decided to make the day memorable for the people living in slums by spending it with them. Offering happiness to someone is the best way to gain it for oneself. You’ll never forget the smile on their faces when you’ll sit with them and ask them about their day, or have food with the, let alone
celebrate Diwali.
This initiative by Nanhe Pakshi, might just make them forget their plight for one day and celebrate the festival of light with a hope in their heart. It might be the best Diwali for them, because of the people around them. It would be the festival of lights for them, because their smiles would shine so bright, it would light up the whole slum.
Nanhe Pakshi is going out of their way to bring even a small change possible by distributing clothes, necessary items and gifts to them.
What's Diwali without lighting diyas in real life ?
Let the rays of those shine brighter.
