"What makes us human, make us learn humanity. "

In today's world where people are emphasizing on materialistic pleasures, they often are leading into the path of becoming a monster and keeping all the ethics and morals aside to get their job done at any cost.
Yes at any cost, even if it cost the life of voiceless innocent animals.

Humans are considered to be most civilised of all species the shocking number of animal cruelty cases reported every day paints a picture where cruelty and neglect marks human attitude towards its fellow species.
Every 60 seconds an animal experiences abuse and most of the cases of animal cruelty go unreported.

From using animals for laboratory testing to torturing them in front of the camera just for the sake of a couple of views or followers, from abusing animals for the sake of fun to beating them to death, from raping animals to satisfy their sexual pleasure to burying them alive for no reason at all; humans are somehow losing the basic principle of humanity, what makes us a human is being snatched away from us due to our violent acts of cruelty and greed.

The recent death of a pregnant elephant after eating a pineapple stuffed with firecrackers shows us the extent to which cruelty against animals stretches. The banning of sale of dog meat by the Nagaland cabinet is some sort of victory but the road towards abolishing animal cruelty in all its totality is a long one and a lot needs to be done to make this world safe for animals.

The essence of kindness lies in rescuing those who have suffered a deep length of pain especially those who are voiceless, and to bring back the ethics and morals regarding animals lives, proper awareness should be spread among people, laws related to allegation charges should become more strict to put a complete ban on animal cruelty.

Many NGOs are doing their bit by taking actions against animal abuse whenever any cruelty is reported to them but that is not enough. We certainly need more strict rules for the safety of these poor creatures if we wish to see them in our future.
As Mahatma Gandhi once said, “The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.”
